Een Letterenhuis vol leven
Onderzoeken en schrijven als maakproces: het concept van de herinrichting van het Letterenhuis is gegroeid vanuit die fascinatie. Deze herinrichting toont hoe een ruimte dit kan stimuleren en delen. De schrijfkamer is hierbij de ultieme plek.

Het vertrekpunt is het lezen van de ruimte, waarin een nieuw interieur ontstaat dat begeesterd. In het Letterenhuis zagen we plots daglicht als drijvende kracht, een monumentale inkom die op de juiste manier kan aantrekken, een mooie open ruimte rond een binnentuin, een uitnodiging tot ontmoeting, maken, studie.

A Letterenhuis full of life
Researching and writing as a creative process: the concept of the Letterenhuis redesign grew out of that fascination. This redesign shows how a space can encourage and share this. The writing room is the ultimate place for this.

The starting point is reading the space, in which a new interior emerges that fascinates. In the Letterenhuis, we suddenly saw daylight as a driving force, a monumental entrance that can attract in the right way, a beautiful open space around a courtyard garden, an invitation to meet, make, study.

Door te zoneren wordt er een evenwicht gecreëerd van meer afgezonderde plekken en open dynamische ruimtes. Hier dragen vijf nieuw ontworpen nuclei aan bij. De nuclei, afsluitbare plekken van waaruit de zonering kan groeien, zijn hybride ruimtes die dienen als akoestische buffer. De schrijfkamer is het centrale hart hiervan. Een plek als bolwerk om terug te trekken, maar die op verschillende manieren in dialoog staat vanuit dit platform dat dit Huis biedt. De zonering verloopt van een zone van ontmoeting en uitwisseling, naar een meer stille zone.

Zoning creates a balance of more secluded places and open dynamic spaces. Five newly designed nuclei contribute to this. The nuclei, lockable places from which zoning can grow, are hybrid spaces that serve as acoustic buffers. The writing room is the central heart of these. A place as a stronghold to retreat, but which is in dialogue in different ways from this platform this House provides. The zoning progresses from a zone of meeting and exchange, to a more silent zone.
